I haven't gotten around to uploading pictures from my camera from this weekend, so here's a quick recap.
Saturday was a low-key hang around the house day, but it was my Grandpa's 80th Birthday and my Sister-in-Law Becca's Birthday, too! (not her 80th, but half of that)
On Sunday, Addison and I ventured out to nice and cool Ventura for a day with the family. She started saying "Poppa" and "Mamaw" on the way out there, and continued using those while we were visiting. Needless to say, the grandparents were pretty ticked about that!
My Grandma hosted an 80th Birthday get together at her house, so the majority of the afternoon was spent there with extended family. Addison spent most of her time redecorating my Grandma's back patio and drinking from her water fountain. Yes, there are pictures...she was soaked.
I took my Grandpa over to Dairy Queen after we ate our lunch to pick up his cake. Wouldn't you know it, the young girl that worked there knew exactly who he was and what he was there for. Grandpa went on to tell me about how all of the other gals that worked there & the owner of the shop knew him too! If you know my Grandpa...this comes as no shock. My Uncle can tell a very similar story about him and a donut shop. =o) True Grandpa fashion...he's quite the character! We love him so much!
