{push em-pull em}

We woke up bright and early (aka 6:15am) on Saturday morning to make the trek out to our hometown. Addison was participating in her first ever parade! Each year one of the Rotary Clubs in Ventura hosts a Push em-Pull em parade for all of the children on the 4th of July. There were wagons, bikes, strollers, scooters, etc. all decked out in patriotic decor.

Addie rode in a wagon with her cousin Jake, and they (meaning Jake) threw out Smarties and Dum Dum Lollipops to the crowd. She quickly grabbed some Smarties and a lollipop and clenched them in her little fists. By the end of the parade we discovered that these delights were actually edible...and a pack of Smarties was one of the best found things to suck on! LOL Yeah, nominate me for Mom of the Year...my kid was eating candy at 10:30am! =o)

I haven't had a chance to download pictures from my camera, but these are a few shots that I snapped on my camera along the route.
