{the halloween of many costumes}

What a fun and exciting Halloween season we had! Lots of fun things to do an experience...with many costumes mixed in between!

We started off by attending Mickey's Halloween Party at Disneyland 2 weeks before Halloween. Addison decided she'd like to don one of her princess dresses for the occasion and picked Rapunzel. We had so much fun and decided that it must become an annual event!  

 On Halloween Day, she opted to wear yet another one of her princess dresses and opted for Ariel, her all time favorite princess. I turned her platinum blonde locks a lovely shade of red courtesy of 2 cans of colored hair spray paint. It was a huge mess and I don't think we'll be doing that again anytime soon, but it did look awesome!  

 And for the big night of Trick or Treating, she wore the costume she'd chosen months in advance...a peacock. It was really fun putting together and making the big tail! Definitely didn't see any others out and about! That's for sure!

Per usual, the family trekked up to our neck of the woods for our annual trip to the pumpkin patch.

{KC fair 2012}

Saturday we did our annual trek to the KC fair. We all came home with a nose full of allergens & dirt, but a good time was had by all!

Friday marked the start of Addison's first season of AYSO! We are lucky to live in an area where they offer a U5 division. She seems to be liking it a bit more than she did playing softball, but we still have 7 more weeks to go! Here's some pictures of her first day. They do 30 minutes of practice, and then 30 minutes of "games".

Last Tuesday, was the first day of Pre-K for our baby girl. She was so excited to go back to school and see her friends.

 It's sad to think that this is our last year of preschool.  She'll be off to the "big school" way too soon!

{last getaway}

Last weekend we embraced that our summer was coming to an end. School was starting back up, getting back into a structured routine. We headed back to Palm Springs for an extra long weekend of fun and relaxation. Lots of lounging at the pool, shopping, eating yummy food and taking in the children's museum.

{a turn-around trip to san diego}

This past Saturday found us heading down to San Diego for a one night stay and a quick trip to the zoo. Family was out visiting from Oregon and we thought we'd head down to say hello! It was hot...by San Diego standards. It was a sweltering 90* at the zoo on Sunday! We stayed until about 2:30pm and got on the road headed home. I didn't take many pictures, but here are a few. PS - Addison is OBSESSED with peacocks all of sudden. Not sure where she picked that up, but nonetheless, she is!
