{happy halloween}

Excuse the watermark & crummy quality of these pictures. They're the online proofs from the photography studio.

And my favorite, in true Tinkerbell fashion:

Wishing you a very Happy Halloween!

{let's chat]

{boo at the zoo}

This past Saturday, my friend Candice & I decided to take the kiddos to Boo at the Zoo out at our local zoo called CALM.

It was pretty warm and I was a nervous wreck about Addison wearing her costume and screwing it up, so needless to say it didn't stay on for very long. I snapped a few pictures of Addison and her buddy William over in the petting zoo. She's definitely the more adventurous of the two...so the name definitely fits!

{sneak peek}

With Halloween being just a few days away, it's time to reveal Addison's costume! It was handmade by my super-talented mother-in-law, Lyn, with some help from Auntie Bucket.

{pumpkin patch failure}

The week before last, Karl's family came up to visit and take a family trip to Murray Family Farms. Miss Addison wasn't too thrilled about it and all of the pictures from our trip pretty much look like this:

Hey, I don't really like this stuff Mama!

Get me off of here!

What's this stuff?

Hey Dad, this is kind of cool!

Yeah, I'm over it! Pick me up!

Not this stuff AGAIN!

Hey there nice pumpkin...

I'm bored Mama, so I'm just going to dig for some gold.

Let's blow this joint!

{pumpkin patch - attempt #2}

I've yet to post about our Pumpkin Patch *failure* from last weekend, but don't worry...it's coming soon.

We went to another one this afternoon, which was much nicer in my opinion, and it was a success! I kind of went picture crazy so I'll just let those do the talkin'...

{just breathe}

So, you may have noticed that I've taken a little bit of a blog break. I just really haven't been in the mood to edit photos, write up posts, etc. I've been busy enjoying my little family & life, but hope to get back into the swing of things soon.

I've got a *failed* trip to the Pumpkin Patch and gorgeous Halloween Costume to write about! So stay tuned!

In the meantime, check out this amazing song by my favorite band ever, Pearl Jam. It's called 'Just Breathe' and it's off their new album called Backspacer. You should buy it if you don't already have it! You won't be sorry!

{hockey}

This past Saturday, Karl's company was a game sponsor for a Bakersfield Condor's Pre-Season game. When you are a game sponsor, you get to drop a puck before the game. Karl and his boss, Carlos, both represented their company and took Addison and Carlos' daugher Nayeli with them.

Addison didn't really seem too excited about it...more like nervous! She sucked her thumb the whole time! Silly girl!

{the grove}

Last Sunday, we ventured down to The Grove in Los Angeles. It was Anaya's idea. We wanted to get out of town for the day, and that's where she chose. We had wonderful ideas of spotting celebs galore, but were only saddened in the end.

We started by eating at the LA Farmers Market. That place is phenomenal. It's huge, and there's every type of food imaginable. Addison found some cupcakes and talked her Daddy into buying her one.

We walked around looking at all of the shops, including the American Girl Store. I really hope that place is not in existence when Addison is of age. That place is scary, not to mention that it's very spendy! Eek! I just don't understand it, but I know I'm in for a world of crazy as she gets a little older. We've done a good job of keeping her away from the Dora's & Elmo's of the world so far! Ha!

There was a great band playing in the plaza, so we stopped to listen to them for a while. Someone really enjoyed it and even did a little dancing.

On our way out we stopped at the Cheesecake Factory and got some Cheesecake to go. We had a slice of Stefanie's Red Velvet Cheesecake. It was divine, and I highly recommend it!
