{one door closes, as another door opens}

Today was Addison's last day at day care. She will start at her new preschool on Tuesday. It's truly bittersweet.

I had a hard time racking my brain for a gift that was meaningful to give to our day care provider as a thank you for caring for Addison since she was 13 weeks old. Someone on Twitter suggested that I check out the project that Joy Unexpected did for her daughter's Kindergarten teacher. It was just what I was looking for, but due to the circumstances of our provider moving to the mid-west this weekend, it wasn't practical. So, we put our own twist on it. I hope she liked it!

What we used for this project:
  • Terra Cotta pot & saucer
  • Acrylic Paint
  • Packets of flower seeds
  • Pair of gardening gloves
  • Gardening shovel
  • Wind chime

I wrote "Thank you for planting the seeds to help our child to grow." on it. We wrapped it up in tulle and added a bow. A very meaningful gift from the heart.
