Woo Hoo for Stage 2's!

We have now started Addison on 2nd Stage Foods! Her new list of foods makes me kind of jealous!

She as been eating things such as Apple Pumpkin, Spinach & Potatoes, Apples & Blueberries, Pears & Mangos, Summer Veggies (Corn, Zucchini, Green Beans, Carrots, Brown Rice & Garbanzo Beans), etc.

So far, so good! I think she likes these foods much better than the Stage 1's, which we kind of struggled to get through!

Changing Table Confessions

Since she was a newborn, Addison has always been very "animated" when on her changing table (aka her dresser). I happened to have the camera upstairs with me tonight and was able to catch the Chatty Cathy in action! Oh, and much to the emjoyment of her Daddy...she's now making "dadadada" sounds! Enjoy!

Reading is Fun!

Addison loves to look at books. She has qutie an extensive library already, but today at Target we picked up a few new Karen Katz books. Her favorite seems to be Twinkle Toes.

Happy 7 Months!

I can't believe that our baby is 7 months old today!

We went to the Dr yesterday for a check up. She's weighing in at 21lbs 13oz, and measuring 29 1/2"! 95th percentile once again. We got 3 shots and barely made a peep!

Some of our milestones are:

• Crawling


• Cruising


• Teething - we have officially cut our first 2 teeth! They're still growing in, but they're finally above her gums.


• We're now on to Stage 2 foods.

Addison attended her first Condors Hockey Game last Saturday and she did great! The season opener is tonight, so we shall see how she does with an even bigger crowd!

I was finally able to catch Addison in the act of pulling herself up. You'll notice that she immediately starts to fuss because we haven't mastered the art of getting down yet! =o)

Houston, we have a crawler!

For a few weeks now Addison has had the Army Crawl down, but now we have learned to use our legs and are crawling like a pro, and pulling ourselves up on anything we can find.

I was finally able to coax her with the TV remote to crawl to me. I'm still working on trying to get her pulling herself up...hopefully soon!

Wish List

I'm thinking now is the time to get a new, light weight stroller for Miss Addison. Her travel system stroller was great while she was an infant, but now that she's out of the infant seat and sitting in the big girl part, it seems a tad bulky.

I've got my eye on this puppy, the Mia Moda Veloce:



Any of my Mommy friends have any thoughts or experiences with this?

**UPDATE**
I got this stroller and I LOVE IT! The ride is smooth, the steering is effortless, the extended sunshade is amazing, the seat fully reclines (which is nice for napping little ones), the storage basket is HUGE and the cupholder has won my heart! I highly recommend this model if you are in the market!

Our First Rash

We haven't had a diaper rash yet (knock on wood), but Addison has a case of Roseola. It's painful to see her little face and body covered in little red bumps, but we're told that it's a totally normal virus and to just let it run it's course. No medication or anything required!

Oh, and did I mention that we now weigh 22lbs?! Yipes!

I attempted taking some pictures, but the bumps are so small that it's hard to see...

New Wheels

We broke down this evening and went and bought Addison a walker. Boy does she love being mobile! Mama's got some baby proofing to do!

Her new wheels are shiny and red....just like G&G Hower and G&G Whitnall!

A Day at the Fair

Today we took Addison to the Kern County Fair, and Aunite Anaya and Uncle Greg came along too!

Happy 6 Months!

I cannot believe that our baby is a half of a year old already! It has gone by waaaaaaaay too fast! She changes so much every day, we are in constant awe!

My Little Techie

Addison loves the computer. She's become really enthralled with it as of late. For instance, Karl will be holding her on one end of the couch and I'll be on my laptop on the other. She will squirm and wiggle to try her hardest to get to it. So, I decided to put the computer on the ground to see if she'd go for it...and sure enough, you have this video:




PS - Please excuse the Sweet Potato stain on her outfit. We're working on eating solids and I shot this right after dinner.

Visiting GiGi and Papa

On Sunday while we were out to celebrate Karl's Mom's birthday, we stopped to visit GiGi and Papa. Addison is the first Great Grandchild on both sides, and unfortuneately we don't get to make the 2 hour drive back home that often so that she can visit.

Her other set of Great Grandparents live in Las Vegas and have only gotten to see her right after she was born. Hopefully Great Grandma & Grandpa Eittreim will visit soon!

I finally remembered to take my camera out and snap some pics of her visiting with GiGi and Papa.

First Word?!

Not quite, but lately Addison has been saying "mamamamamamamama." In addition to that she's beginning to crawl.

I was able to capture a little video tonight of her doing both! =o) That's our girl....a multi-tasker!
